Stetson Association for Public Interest Law (SAPIL) was founded in 1991. SAPIL is one of over 100 law student chapters of the National Association for Public Interest Law. SAPIL seeks to educate, prepare and inspire future lawyers to recognize inequities that exist in our legal system and to dedicate their professional lives to the development of a more just society. SAPIL works to create opportunities for public interest legal employment for both students and graduates, specifically working to remove the economic barriers that confront future public interest lawyers. In 2002 following the name change of its parent organization NAPIL to Equal Justice Works the Stetson Chapter changed its name to Equal Justice Works as well. The mission remains the same.
This website is not sponsored or officially reviewed by Stetson University College of Law. It is entirely produced by Stetson law students belonging to SAPIL, a student organization.
